ACCI Inaugurates New Young CEOs Forum Executives, Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Entrepreneurship

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has inaugurated the second Executive Committee of its Young CEOs Forum, underscoring its commitment to grooming the next generation of business leaders and promoting inclusive economic growth.
The inauguration ceremony, held on March 26, 2026, at the ACCI Secretariat in Abuja, marked a key milestone in the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to strengthen youth entrepreneurship and leadership development.
Speaking at the event, ACCI President, Emeka Obegolu, charged the newly inaugurated executives to provide strategic leadership that will reposition the Forum for greater impact. He emphasized the need to drive membership growth, enhance member-focused programmes, strengthen advocacy, and deepen collaboration with stakeholders.
The ACCI Young CEOs Forum, established on May 20, 2021, under the leadership of former ACCI President, Al-Mujtaba Abubakar, serves as a platform for entrepreneurs aged 18–30 to foster mentorship, networking, and business development. It is the sixth category within the Chamber’s membership structure.
The newly inaugurated Executive Committee includes Najib Waziri as Chairman, Susan Galadimawa as Vice Chairman, Oladele Femi as Treasurer, Cynthia Otubu as Secretary, and Egena Elvis Akogwu as Program Director.
Obegolu described the Forum as a critical pipeline for future leadership within the Chamber, urging the executives to demonstrate innovation and entrepreneurial excellence. He noted that the Forum plays a vital role in preparing emerging business leaders who will shape both the ACCI and Nigeria’s private sector.
Also speaking, the Chamber’s Director-General encouraged the team to leverage the platform to expand networks, build capacity, and contribute to the Chamber’s growth. The Vice President, ICT and Digital Economy, Chigozie Igwe, assured the new executives of continued support to ensure a successful tenure.
In his acceptance speech, Chairman Najib Waziri expressed appreciation to the ACCI leadership for the confidence placed in the team, pledging to deliver impactful programmes, expand membership, and mobilize young entrepreneurs across Abuja.
He highlighted plans to focus on practical initiatives such as business expansion, mentorship, networking, and capacity building, aimed at connecting members to opportunities that will enable their enterprises to scale.
The event featured the presentation of appointment letters to the newly inaugurated executives.
The ACCI Young CEOs Forum continues to play a significant role in empowering young entrepreneurs, positioning them as job creators and contributors to Nigeria’s economic development.
