A New Nigeria is Possible- Citizen Common

A Citizens Action Organization ‘Citizen Common’, has stated that a new Nigeria is possible.
Speaking during the launch of it’s report on Tuesday, 20th December 2022 in Abuja. titled, “A Nigeria for the many not the few, the Nigeria we desire”, the founder Olakeken Oshunkoya also said that Nigeria at present is not working for most people, but working very well for the elites.
The Organization further noted that some political parties does not have agenda for the youth,
” after listening far and wide from different Youth across the country we aggregated their ideas and recommendation for a new Nigeria into 10 point agenda manifesto which are:
-Employment and Economic Opportunity for the youth, Education, Security and Peace, Policy brutality Ongoing struggle for Human rights, Democracy, Political and Civic Participation, Leadership and Governance., Health well being (Access to Social Services), Nigeria Dream and Our Unity.
The group added that the Youth are interested in a peaceful Nigeria and committed to educating each other to say no election violence .
Citizens Common therefore called on politicians to stop recruiting Youths to perpetrate electoral violence.
Through the program “We are implementing an intentional efforts to engage Young Nigeria in our efforts to promote active citizenship, participating democracy and demand improved services delivery from the leaders.
The Organization emphasized that “A new Nigeria is possible. let’s get our Voters card and vote for the one we want as President. We can work for the Nigeria we deserve”.
