A Boost for Nigeria’s Paralympic Heroes: Federal Government Increases Winning Bonuses

In a heartwarming display of support, the Federal Government, through the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, announced a significant increase in winning bonuses for Nigeria’s Paralympic athletes. This gesture aims to motivate the team as they prepare for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France.
During an interactive session with the para-athletes at their training camp in Saarbrucken, Germany, Senator Enoh revealed the new bonus structure: $15,000 for Gold, $10,000 for Silver, and $5,000 for Bronze medal winners. This increase surpasses the previous amounts of $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000 for Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners, respectively.
The Minister’s announcement was met with excitement and gratitude from the athletes, who felt seen and valued by the government’s commitment to their success.
