Dr Mrs Chika E. Chukwudi, the Abuja Zonal Head of Public Relations at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
The conferment took place recently in Lagos, Nigeria was in recognition of her professional accomplishments, leadership qualities and contributions to management and organisational development.
The Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Management is a distinguished professional honour awarded to individuals who have demonstrated commitment to excellence, professionalism and the advancement of management practice.
Dr Mrs Chukwudi’s elevation to the fellowship adds another significant milestone to her career, particularly in the areas of public relations, strategic communication and institutional management.
As Head of Public Relations at NIMASA, she has continued to play a key role in communicating the agency’s activities, policies and programmes to stakeholders and the wider public.
The recognition is expected to further strengthen her contribution to the management and communication profession, while underscoring the importance of effective leadership and strategic communication in Nigeria’s maritime sector.
The conferment which took place August 20, 2026, has also been described as a recognition of Dr Mrs Chukwudi’s professional standing and dedication to the advancement of her career and the institutions she represents.
The event was part of activities marking the Institute’s 65th anniversary. Reports confirm that the ceremony also honoured NDDC Managing Director Samuel Ogbuku and Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, among others.
