Nigeria’s Envoy Meets Côte d’Ivoire National Assembly President to Deepen Bilateral Relations

Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Ezenwa Nwaobiala, has held talks with the President of the National Assembly of Côte d’Ivoire, Patrick Achi, as part of efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations between both countries.
The meeting, held on August 3, 2026, was part of Ambassador Nwaobiala’s familiarization visits to key institutions and senior government officials in the host country following his assumption of office.
The visit was aimed at reinforcing engagement with strategic Ivorian institutions while exploring new opportunities to deepen the long-standing cordial relations between Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire.
Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation through closer collaboration between the two countries, with both sides reaffirming the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement in advancing shared interests and promoting stronger ties within the West African sub-region.
The familiarization tour forms part of the Nigerian envoy’s broader diplomatic efforts to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders in Côte d’Ivoire and further consolidate the existing friendship between the two nations.
