Enough is Enough (EiE), Nigeria has announced that its flagship RSVP (Register | Select | Vote | Protect) campaign has engaged more than 700,000 young Nigerians across physical and digital platforms, marking a significant milestone in its drive to mobilise one million citizens ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The organisation disclosed this as the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), as the exercise closed on 26 July, 2026, describing the turnout as evidence of growing youth interest in civic participation despite operational challenges encountered during the registration exercise.

Since launching its latest phase in June with a campus activation at the University of Lagos, EiE Nigeria has expanded its voter mobilisation efforts to universities, cultural events, religious gatherings and community engagements across Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states. The campaign was implemented in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at both national and state levels to ensure registrations were officially captured.

The campaign reached students and young people at institutions including the University of Lagos, Covenant University, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and Lead City University, as well as community events such as Full House, Freedom Songs and Civic Social gatherings in Victoria Island.

Speaking on the impact of the initiative, first-time registrant Tunde said seeing hundreds of fellow youths register inspired confidence in the electoral process.
“I always assumed my vote wouldn’t change anything, until I saw hundreds of my mates lining up beside me,” he said.
Student volunteer Bukola also noted that many young Nigerians are now willing to move beyond complaints and actively participate in shaping the country’s future through voting.

EiE Nigeria, however, identified several challenges encountered during the CVR exercise, including equipment shortages, server downtime, long queues and the inability of many eligible citizens to complete registration because of limited access to registration centres.

The organisation said these concerns were presented directly to INEC leadership during a consultative meeting. It commended the Commission for extending registration to weekends and introducing a self-service registration portal, but observed that the platform’s biometric capture function worked effectively only on Android devices, while iOS users continued to experience technical difficulties until the close of registration.

Senior Media Associate of EiE Nigeria, Akindeji Aromaye, described the situation as one where “a young population that was ready and willing” encountered “a system that was still catching up.”

He noted that while the self-service portal represented progress, it was introduced too late to benefit many prospective registrants and did not function equally across all devices.

With voter registration now concluded, EiE Nigeria said its focus will shift to supporting Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection, providing polling unit information and sustaining voter education through to the 2027 elections.

According to the organisation, its RSVP Call Centre and WhatsApp community have already reached more than 4,000 citizens directly, while over 30,000 Nigerians in its wider database will continue receiving voter education and mobilisation messages.

Executive Director of EiE Nigeria, Ufuoma Nnamdi-Udeh, said the high number of requests from communities seeking voter registration activations demonstrated that Nigerian youths remain eager to participate in the democratic process when given adequate opportunities.

She said the organisation remains on course to achieve its target of engaging one million voters and will now concentrate on ensuring registered citizens collect their PVCs and participate meaningfully in the 2027 elections.

To sustain the initiative, EiE Nigeria has launched a ₦180 million fundraising campaign, comprising ₦20 million to operate its RSVP Call Centre and WhatsApp engagement platform through the 2027 elections and ₦150 million for the campaign’s second phase, which will focus on PVC collection and election-readiness civic education.

The organisation said it has raised ₦10.655 million so far and appealed to individuals, organisations and development partners to support the campaign.

EiE Nigeria is a non-partisan network committed to promoting good governance, public accountability and active citizenship through civic engagement and voter education initiatives. Its RSVP campaign has served as the organisation’s flagship voter mobilisation programme since 2010.
