President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr. Ike Neliaku, has retained his position as Global Public Relations Chairman, further strengthening Nigeria’s growing influence in the international communications and reputation management space.

The development is being celebrated by public relations practitioners and stakeholders within the global communications industry, who described the retention as a recognition of Dr. Neliaku’s leadership, advocacy for ethical communication, and commitment to professional excellence.

Dr. Neliaku, who was re-elected as President of the NIPR in 2025, has played a key role in advancing Nigeria’s visibility in global public relations engagements and strategic communication initiatives.

Under his leadership, the NIPR gained international recognition after emerging as the 2025 Global Public Relations Association at the World Public Relations and Communication Awards in Lisbon, Portugal — an achievement commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Industry observers say the retention of Dr. Neliaku in the global leadership role reflects increasing confidence in African-led communication strategies and Nigeria’s expanding footprint in public relations practice worldwide.

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), will host Global Alliance World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria between 15 to 21 November 2026. This remarkable achievement under the leadership of Dr Ineliagu highlights NIPR’s dedication to excellence in public relations and its growing influence on the global stage.
