The Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Hulayat Omidiran, has congratulated Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, urging citizens to recommit to unity, equity, and national inclusion.

In her Eid-el-Fitr message, Hon. Omidiran offered prayers for the acceptance of the sacrifices, supplications, and acts of charity performed during the holy month, expressing hope that the spiritual benefits of Ramadan would translate into positive actions for national development.

She noted that Ramadan teaches essential values such as discipline, selflessness, compassion, and devotion—principles she said align with the FCC’s mandate to promote fairness, justice, and balanced representation in the country.

According to her, the lessons of Ramadan should inspire Nigerians to foster a stronger sense of belonging among all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or social background.
“Ramadan reinforces the ideals of justice, empathy, and shared responsibility. As a people, we must ensure that inclusivity and fairness remain at the heart of our national life,” she stated.
The FCC Chairman also called on Nigerians to sustain the spirit of the season by promoting peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and equity in all spheres, while urging leaders to uphold transparency, accountability, and integrity in governance.

She emphasized that building a united and prosperous nation requires collective effort and a steadfast commitment to equal opportunity for all.
Hon. Omidiran further expressed hope that the Eid celebration would usher in renewed optimism, peace, and determination among Nigerians to work together toward a more just and cohesive society.
