Declaring the programme open, the outgoing Chairman of the Commission, Victor Muruako, reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to continuous professional development and organizational growth. He emphasized that strengthening institutional systems and embedding a culture of evidence-based decision-making are critical to the Commission’s statutory mandate of promoting fiscal discipline and sustainable economic management.
According to him, enhancing analytical competence within the workforce will not only improve regulatory oversight but also deepen transparency and accountability in public financial management. He urged staff members to embrace collaboration, mutual support, and innovation, stressing that the true value of the training lies in translating acquired knowledge and modern analytical tools into measurable improvements in productivity and service delivery.
In his remarks, the outgoing Chairman also informed staff of assurances received from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, who he said had expressed strong support for the Commission after observing its contributions toward strengthening Nigeria’s economic stability. The Chairman conveyed confidence that the Commission would continue to receive the necessary institutional backing to consolidate its achievements.
As part of the proceedings, he formally presented Barr. The announcement was made to ensure continuity of leadership and operational stability within the Commission.
The training programme is structured to equip participants with modern analytical frameworks, performance management strategies, and practical methodologies aimed at enhancing institutional systems and operational efficiency across departments. It is expected to further entrench a culture of professionalism, innovation, and results-oriented performance within the Commission.
