Ondo REC Welcomes New Federal Fire Service Controller

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), INEC, Ondo State, Mrs. Oluwatoyin O Babalola, on Wednesday 4th Feb. 2026, hosted the newly appointed Controller of the Federal Fire Service in Ondo State, Mr. Moses Oyedepo and his team at her office in Alagbaka, Akure.
The new Controller expressed his profound appreciation to the Hon. REC and the management team for the warm reception. He described the visit upon his assumption of office in the state as an opportunity to extend a hand of fellowship and strengthen the existing synergy and collaboration between INEC and the Federal Fire Service as one of the critical stakeholders in the state’s electoral process.
In her response, Mrs. Babalola warmly welcomed the Controller and his team. She thanked him for the visit and emphasized the importance of sustaining the strong partnership already in place between the two agencies.
She seized the opportunity to inform and sensitize them about the second phase of the on-going CVR, which has been devolved to all the RAs in the State to address the challenges of long distance to registration centres, difficult terrains and to ensure all eligible registrants are adequately captured.
