End of an Era at FRC,as Pioneer Director Mohammed Bows Out after Eight Years of Meritorious Service

The Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), has begun a new chapter as its pioneer Director of Administration and Human Resources, Alhaji Mohammed Zailani, formally commenced his exit from public service after eight years of dedicated and meritorious service, in line with public service rules.
A colourful send-off ceremony held at the Commission’s Asokoro office brought together management, staff, and well-wishers to celebrate the legacy of the seasoned administrator. Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of the FRC, Victor Muruako, Esq., described Alhaji Zailani as a committed and dependable director who was always available whenever duty called. He praised him as an administrator who upheld merit, fairness, and professionalism, noting that he never derived joy in working against staff.
The Secretary of the Commission, Mrs. Fatima Binta Abubakar, also honoured the retiring director with a toast during the send-off party, celebrating his years of service, dedication, and lasting contributions to the growth of the Commission.
Other goodwill messages came from the retired Director of Accounts of the Commission and former Chairman of Obigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Chief Barrister Sampson Eletuo, KSC; the Director of Legal, Investigation and Enforcement, Barrister Charles Chukwuemeka Abana; and the Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts, Mrs. Victoria Angakuru-Adiwu. They described Alhaji Zailani as a sound administrator who played a pivotal role in building the administrative structure of the FRC.
In his response, Alhaji Mohammed Zailani expressed deep appreciation for being part of the pioneer staff of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission. He described the FRC as the only workplace where he felt truly at home and one he would always feel free to visit after retirement, noting that he spent the greater part of his working life in the Commission.
He also used the occasion to offer valuable advice to his successor, Alhaji Nasiru Usman, urging him to lead with integrity, fairness, and commitment as the new Head of Administration and Human Resources.
The ceremony marked not just a retirement, but the celebration of a legacy of service, institution-building, and exemplary leadership at the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
