NiKCCIMA Pays Maiden Courtesy Call to Kenyan Ambassador to Nigeria

The Nigeria-Kenya Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NiKCCIMA), paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Isaac, High Commissioner of Kenya to Nigeria, on November 14, 2025.

During the visit, Arc. Roberts M. Achanya, PhD, Global President of NiKCCIMA, highlighted the organization’s mission to enhance trade, stimulate investment, and promote shared development between Nigeria and Kenya.

The Ambassador, His Excellency Isaac Parashina was informed about NiKCCIMA’s plans to establish chapters in Nairobi and Abuja, with a focus on sectors such as Dairy and Milk, Tea, Maritime and Blue Economy, Agriculture, Aviation, and Technology.

The visit aimed to seek diplomatic acknowledgement of NiKCCIMA’s establishment, No Objection for the establishment of NiKCCIMA’s chapter in Kenya, and support for the reciprocal establishment of KeNCCIMA in Kenya.

Dr Achanya listed key expectations of the visit to include:

– Diplomatic acknowledgement of NiKCCIMA’s formal establishment and registration in Nigeria
– No Objection from the High Commission of Kenya in Nigeria for the establishment of NiKCCIMA’s chapter in Kenya
– Strengthened bilateral cooperation and support for the reciprocal establishment of KeNCCIMA in Kenya
– Enhanced visibility of NiKCCIMA within the diplomatic and trade ecosystem of Nigeria, Kenya, and Africa
– Agreement on future engagement framework for joint activities from 2026.

In response, the Kenyan envoy congratulated members of the team, while commending Dr Achanya’s unwavering efforts to increase economic and other diplomatic activities between Nigeria and Kenya. He assured the Chamber of cooperation of the High Commission.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of the NiKCCIMA Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Registration Certificate to the Ambassador.
