Nigeria Congratulates Chad on Independence Anniversary, Pledges Stronger Bilateral Ties

Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended warm congratulations to the Republic of Chad on its Independence Anniversary. According to Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Chad.
On Bilateral Relations, the release staed that Nigeria and Chad have longstanding relations built on shared history, cultural affinity, and cooperation.
Nigeria aims to deepen collaboration with Chad in areas such as trade, security, education, and regional integration under ECOWAS and the African Union frameworks.
In addition, Chad has made significant contributions to peace, stability, and development in the region, particularly through the Multilateral Joint Task Force.
Nigeria looks forward to strengthening its bonds with Chad for the prosperity of both nations.
The congratulatory message was conveyed on Monday, August 11, 2025, as Chad marked its independence anniversary, celebrating sovereignty, progress, resilience, unity, and patriotic leadership.
