INEC Conducts Voter Register Assessment Training for Anambra State Election

The Electoral Institute (TEI), on behalf of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has organized a Methodology Workshop for field agents and local guides in preparation for the Voter Register Assessment (VRA) in Anambra State. The workshop, held at La Luna Hotel in Awka, aims to equip field agents with the necessary skills to conduct a comprehensive VRA.

In line with the objective of TEI the training provides empirical evidence for precise strategic interventions to enhance the reliability of the Register voter, and  equip field agents with requisite skill sets to effectively carry out the Voter Register Assessment (VRA).

 

The workshop commenced with a rendition of the National anthem, and the Ag. DG-TEI, Prof. Ibrahim Sani, welcomed participants and extended felicitations from the Hon. Chairman, INEC, and all Commission Members.

The Hon. REC, Anambra State, Dr. Queen Elizabeth, emphasized the importance of integrity, credibility, and transparency in conducting the survey.

Participants were taken through the programme of events and reiterated the criteria for participating in the workshop and survey.

The VRA is a crucial step in preparing for the Anambra State Governorship Election, scheduled for November 8, 2025. The assessment will provide valuable insights into the voter register, enabling INEC to make informed decisions and ensure the credibility of the electoral process.

INEC has reiterates committed to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections. The Commission has emphasized the importance of equipping field agents with the necessary knowledge and skills to execute the Voter Register Assessment (VRA) effectively.

By conducting this workshop, INEC demonstrates its dedication to ensuring the integrity of the electoral process and upholding the trust of the Nigerian people.
