Ambassador Musa Muhammed Tsoken, National President of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Initiative For Good Governance (APC-IGG), has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Assembly Leadership, and other government functionaries to institute an urgent bill. This bill aims to ensure federal government representation in all 774 local government councils in Nigeria.

Smooth Monitoring and Supervision: Ensure effective monitoring and supervision of local government activities.
Effective Utilization of Statutory Allocations: Guarantee that direct statutory allocations to local governments are utilized efficiently to benefit Nigerians at the grassroots level.

The APC-IGG National President has called upon the following stakeholders to take immediate action:

– President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
– National Assembly Leadership, including President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, and Speaker House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas
– Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Dr George Akume
– Party Chairman, H.E. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje
– All Government functionaries, including the President of ALGON, Alhaji Bello Lawal.

By instituting this urgent bill, the federal government can ensure that local governments receive the necessary support and oversight to effectively serve Nigerians at the grassroots level.
