Ikom LGA Receives Major Boost in Infrastructure Development from Gov Otu

The people of Ikom Local Government Area in Cross River State, Nigeria are celebrating a major milestone, thanks to the efforts of Governor Apostle Sen. [Prince] Bassey Edet Otu. The governor has approved the installation of over 500 Solar LED Street Lights across the local government area, a move that is expected to transform the lives of residents.
According to Hon. Pst. [Mrs] Mercy Nsor, Executive Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, the installation of the street lights is a testament to the governor’s commitment to improving the lives of the people. “The Solar LED Street Lights will provide illumination, enhance security, boost economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life in our communities,” she said.
The project is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy, as it will enable businesses to operate for longer hours, thereby increasing economic activity. The improved lighting will also enhance security, making it safer for residents to move around at night.
