Exceptional Performance Earns Air Vice Marshal Bulus Terminal Promotion

In a prestigious ceremony, Air Vice Marshal Amos Bulus was decorated with his new rank by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar. The CAS emphasized that terminal promotions are reserved for exceptional officers who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian Air Force.
Air Marshal Abubakar praised Air Vice Marshal Bulus for his outstanding career, marked by excellence and dedication to progress. He highlighted the senior officer’s pioneering initiatives, which have had a profound impact on the betterment of the Air Force.
The CAS noted that the promotion was not just a recognition of rank, but a celebration of Air Vice Marshal Bulus’s unwavering commitment, hard work, and dedication to the Nigerian Air Force. His exceptional leadership and contributions have earned him a place among the elite group of terminal promotion recipients.
“Air Vice Marshal Bulus has distinguished himself as a pioneer in various aspects. Consequently, as the Pioneer Director of Information Technology within the Nigerian Air Force, he broke new ground by implementing the first-ever NAF-operated and managed online recruitment and enlistment platform, ensuring a more efficient, transparent, and accessible system that has become a model within the Armed Forces and beyond,” The CAS noted. He added he akso designed the architecture of the NAF electronic document management and paperless system.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chief of Administration (COA), Air Vice Marshal Idi Sani noted that the record and performance of AVM Bulus were reviewed in relation to his contributions to the overall NAF Mission objectives and on the basis of this recommendation, the Air Force Council on 24 June 2024 approved his terminal promotion to the rank of Air Vice Marshal with effect from 2 August 2024.
