Adegboyega Oyetola hosts TVC Communications management, prays them to give more visibility to ministry’s activities.

The Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, has on Wednesday, 24th July, 2024 recieved the TVC Management led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Victoria Ajayi in his office.
The Minister stated that the ministry is delighted to receive the offer for partnership from TVC especially in publicising Government’s policies and activities, as well as promoting activities of the newly formed Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy which he said, many members of the public are still wondering what the Ministry is charged with. “We will appreciate you in educating the public and in disseminating information to the public about what we may be doing, especially through documentaries.”
Oyetola acknowledged that “TVC has been doing a wonderful job in the country, the United Kingdom, and on the African continent. Partnership with us is very important to us because of the fact that this is a new ministry and we need all the publicity we can get with regards to educating the people on what is Marine and Blue Economy.”
The Minister further stated that “This is a new ministry, and there is a need to put a roadmap that will allow the ministry to have a National Policy on Marine and Blue Economy in place. Also, the ministry is ensuring the efficiency in our Ports, presently”; we are equally striving to ensure that the issues in fishery are resolved. Fishery is one of the major pillars of this Administration, there are unregulated fishing, and there are also issues about unbridled exploitation of our fishing ecosystem. We are putting policies in place to address all these. And, we need to blow our trumpets on what we are achieving. Otherwise, no one will do it for us, but TVC can help us.
The Chief Executive Officer TVC Communications commended the Minister on his works so far, making it known that the TVC management is ready to support the Ministry in propagating its activities to the public.
She further stated that the TVC Management has acknowledged and recognised that Marine and Blue Economy Ministry is very crucial and important, and this is why the TVC’s visit is to let you know that you are on our radar and we also want to ensure that this ministry is on the radar of many Nigerians out there. We know that a lot of Nigerians want to hear the good works that are being done and we want to help you propagate that information, so we thought it was good to visit the ministry to give our support and also to partner with ministry in disseminating the information and the policies and activities of Government to the general public.”
