GMet Receives UKCEH Delegation

An eight member delegation from the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology led by its Trustee Chair, Lord Cameron of Dillington has today payed a courtesy visit to the Ghana Meteorological Agency to discuss the existing partnership between the two institutions and to forge other partnership areas for the future.
The team were received by Management of the Agency led by the Ag. Director-General, Dr. Eric Asuman.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Eric Asuman expressed gratitude to the team for collaborating with the Agency on projects such as Hydro SOS and NFLICS , stating that these projects have helped in advancing the products and services rendered by the Agency.
A member of the delegation, Professor Harry Dixon an Associate Director, International Research and Development expressed the Centre’s eagerness to further expand its collaboration with the Agency following the success of the existing projects.
GMet and UKCEH would be exploring future collaborative partnerships especially in the area of Drought Forecasting and Air Quality.
The UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology has also officially unveiled its West Africa Regional Office in Accra yesterday.
