H. E. Otu swears in Cabinet Members

Cross River State Governor in Nigeria, His Excellency Sen Bassey Otu on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, swore in 31 Commissioners into the Cross River State Executive Council.

The swearing-in of the Commissioners took place at the temporary Governor’s Office, Dan Archibong Lodge, Calabar

Sen Otu while addressing the Commissioners after the swearing-in said, “those of you that have been appointed are not answerable to me alone but to God. So all your actions and intent must be guided.”

Commissioners were selected from the 18 Local Government Areas that made up the State namely Abi, Akamkpa, Akpabuyo, Bakassi, Bekwara, Biase, Boki, Calabar Municipal, Calabar South, Etung, Ikom, Obubra, Obudu, Odukpani, Ogoja, Yakurr and Yala. Only Obanliku had no commissioner, for now.

Meanwhile, Local Government Areas like Obudu, Yala, Calabar Municipality and Calabar South had three Commissioners, while others have two and one respectively.
