NDE commences skills acquisition training in CRS

About five hundred and forty youths are set to benefit from training on Vocational skills organized by the National Directorate of Employment in Cross River state.
The Director-General, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who was represented by the State Coordinator Udam Gabriel Ugbashi urged the selected Youths to seize the rare opportunity because they have been chosen from the vast population of unemployed in the state.
He further stated that the exercise which will be for three months is meant for 360 unemployed youths who will participate in Basic Vocational skills training and 180 participants in Advanced Vocational Skills training across the 18 Local Government Areas of the State.
The area of training will range from Domestic Skills like Fashion Design, Hair Dressing, and makeup to technical skills including plumbing, television/radio repairs, GSM and Electrical installation.
They were asked to take these training seriously in order to justify the huge investment of the Federal Government in the training and by extension become better citizens of the country and to themselves.
