SA IMO DIASPORA AFFAIRS APPLAUDS GOV UZODIMMA & HIS DEPUTY FOR DOGGEDNESS

The Special Adviser on Diaspora Affairs to the Imo State Governor, Hon Celia Osakwe-Hibbert, has applauded Governor Hope Uzodimma for his tenacity and being people oriented.
“Imo is lucky to have a Governor whose interest is solely about the people. My Boss is always out there in our communities attending multiple events. I really applaud his doggedness.
“I also applaud the doggedness of His Deputy, Dr. Placid Njoku, the Deputy Governor of Imo State”. Cllr Osakwe-Hibbert stated.
Despite the busy schedule of the Governor, especially as Christmas clock is ticking, several events with not enough time to attend them all; for 3R Government Officials the demand is even higher than normal. And for the Office of the Governor on Diaspora, this is definitely their busiest othertime of the year with droves of Imo Diasporans visiting Home to host events.
Government Appointees and Political Powerhouses hit various communities to support different functions. Ranging from weddings, to funerals, engagements, anniversaries, ofalas, naming ceremonies, house openings only to mention but a few. Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma is seen at the forefront of all these functions.
The number one citizen Sen. Hope Uzodimma and his Appointees who graced the ‘Eze Making’ in Nkwere, were graciously received by Chief of Staff, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie and the entire Anyaehie family. In addition, the Civic reception by Awo-Idemili Clan in honour of Chief Sir C.O.C Akaolisa, The Honourable Attorney General of Imo State was another main event yesterday the 28th of December 2020 calendar. The 3R Government presence was also heavily felt at the A.G’s hometown in Orsu LGA.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Diaspora Affairs News Dot Africa Reporter, that these occasions are not merely jamborees. “Going into the communities and being part of stiching the ‘community fabric’ is part of our obligation. For instance, I have met several Diasporans just by attending these events. Attending these events help me and the other Appointees to understand first hand the situations in our various communities”. The Special Adviser on Diaspora was also in Orisakwe’s Family in Umunakara Nwangele to support Nze Geoff an Imo Diasporan laying his mother to rest. Then proceeded to ISU LGA for a community event.
Cllr. Celia also hadserious conversation with Sen. Osita Izunaso, at Nkwere, revealed that talks of strategic collaboration with Kpakpando Foundation in the Newyear is possible. “I’m looking forward to supporting the great work Distinguished is doing with our Disability Community, alongside SA & SSA Special Citizens. This is the type of work Diasporans will love to support so I look forward to more work in this area in the newyear” she added.
Kpakpando Foundation is the leading foundation on ‘inclusion and diversity’ in Imo state and arguably in Nigeria as a whole, it is founded by Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso from Imo State.
