2019 Election: Presidential Aspirant unveils ‘SWIFT’, Seeks Support of Nigerians

Professor Jerry Gana, one of the embattled presidential aspirants of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has called on Nigerians to support and vote for him come 2019 election as he is set to kick off his campaign.

Jerry Gana made the appeal during the unveiling of his five letter word programme code named SWIFT.

He said that his interest in politics is to pull out Nigeria from her present predicament.

“Every progressive and just society is founded, governed, and driven by sound principles and shared core-values”.  Nigeria is blessed with human and natural resources, the exploit of this resources will no doubt  enhance her development if given the opportunity, knowing fully well that Nigerians want to succeed, want to live in  a properly managed modern states, and a land of law and order with freedom, justice, progress, basic technology, robust opportunities, productivity and  prosperity” Professor Gana noted.

He said that Nigeria deserves and needs to be ruled on a platform of genuinely progressive, viable and just society by implementing the following (5- focal) programmes codenamed ” SWIFT”:  S- security re-engineering, W- wealth creation,  I- infrastructure excellence and power supply, F- fight against corruption and indiscipline, T- technology, education and human development.

“Therefore I say to Nigerians that I have come to serve you, as you know that for over forty years I have been in government, served diligently, and government both past have come to seek advice from me on how to move the nation forward but having seen that those advice has not been well utilised therefore I have come to liberate Nigeria and bring us together as one once again”  Gana concluded.

The event was attended by dignitaries and members of the party including the   Director  General of G19 Dr Ike Nalieaku, Director of Organisation and Planning, Hon. Barr. Humpfrey Abah,  Mallam Alfa Mohammed, Comrade Stanley Nwanka,  Barr. Dan Ogun, Hon. Danjuma Adha,   Air Commodore Darlington Abdulahi , Mr Gabs Gatiba among others.

Recall that the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Chief Olu Falae had earlier advised party faithful not to attend any political event concerning the Professor Jerry Gana pending the ruling of an appellate court.
